Our club has been active in promoting the German Shepherd Dog for over 50 years. We are fortunate to have very knowledgeable club members. If you are encountering a problem with your dog or have questions about showing or training, please feel free to contact us or attend a club meeting or event. Upcoming Events

Ring Training and Socializing Saturday, February 11 and 25 at 1pm. $5 per dog to participate. American and German style conformation training. Open to all skill levels. All dogs must have current rabies vaccine. We will meet at noon at Fat Daddy's for lunch. The training grounds are right behind Fat Daddy’s in Bicentennial Park on FM1709 Southlake Blvd between White Chapel and Shady Oaks.

Club Meeting February 16, 7:30pm at the Coors Building, 2550 McMillian Parkway, Fort Worth. This month's program is by reknowned trainer, competitor, and coach, Joanne Fleming-Plumb. Joanne's accomplishments in schutzhund and obedience are numerous and FWGSDC is grateful to have her speak to our club. Don't miss this opportunity! Click here for more information about Joanne. FWGSDC Specialty Show Friday, March 23rd at Will Rogers Amon Carter large exhibits building in Fort Worth. Judges are: Regular Classes, Mr. William Bergum and Junior Showmanship Competition, Mr. Brian Livingston. This year we are also offering the new AKC Beginner Puppy classes for German Shepherds 4-6 months old. Click Here for entry form. Meet The Breeds Sunday, March 25th in conjunction with the Ft. Worth Kennel Club Dog Show at Will Rogers Amon Carter Building.

Club News

Thank you to all who participated in the FWGSDC Herding Instinct Tests January 7 in Glen Rose. Many Herding Instinct Certificates were earned by budding canine herders. Congratulations and thank you for helping us honor the natural instincts of our wonderful Herding Breeds!
