About Us

Our club has been active in promoting the German Shepherd Dog for over 50 years. We hold AKC sanctioned shows each year and our members make up a diverse group from all around the Metroplex, active in conformation showing, obedience, tracking, herding, therapy dogs, search and rescue, agility, and schutzhund. We have several members who are active breeders, as well as some who only occasionally breed a litter.

We are fortunate to have very knowledgeable club members. If you are encountering a problem with your dog, chances are one of us has already dealt with that very thing. We are always willing to help someone with any problem you might experience with a health issue, training, showing, or whatever you do with your dog. We would be very happy to have you join us and become a part of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Ft. Worth.

The Ft. Worth German Shepherd Dog Club, Inc. Mission Statement

A. To encourage, promote, and educate people on improving the breed and the training of pure bred German Shepherd Dogs, and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection.

B. To urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club, Inc as the only standard of excellance by which the German Shepherd Dog shall be judged.

C. To do all within its power to protect and advance the interest of the breed by encouraging sportsman like competition and conduct at dog shows, obedience trials, and all other sanctioned events under the rules of the American Kennel Club.

D. To conduct sanctioned and licensed specialty shows, obedience trials, and other sanctioned events under the rules of the American Kennel Club.

E. The Club is not to be operated or conducted for profit and no part of any profit or remainder or residue from dues or donations to the Club shall inure to the benefit of a member or individual.
